Hot Stone and Deep Tissue – 2 Most Popular Types of Massage

Are you confused about which type of massage you should get? Is one massage modality more appropriate for your body today than another day? When many massage techniques include relaxation with soothing and gentle kneading, do you feel like you should be the one to decide which one is right for you?

Rather than looking out each massage therapy and getting more confused on each, let's approach to two most popular types of massage therapy. Let's take a look;

Hot Stone Massage

A Hot Stone Massage compliment a classic massage in that the hot water heated stone help the muscles to relax and exposes the deep tissue. The stones are smooth and heated with the comfortable temperature that the massage therapist can manipulate into the right or stone muscles to help the clients relax.

Hot and Smooth stones are placed on certain points on the body to warm and loosen tight muscles and balance energy centers in the body. Hot Stone Massage is good for people who have muscle tension but prefer lighter massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is designed to relive severe tension in the muscles and the connective tissue. Deep Tissue Massage Target the deeper tissues of muscles. The massage therapist uses slower strokes or friction technique across the gain of the muscles.

This is generally recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, repetitive strain, postural problems or recovery from injury. People often feel sore for one to two days after deep tissue massage. Deep Tissue work varies greatly.
